Halifax Port Authority's interest in the energy industry is fundamental: we are determining how we can participate in servicing the offshore exploration and development sector. We are well positioned to provide cargo support for project cargoes and container movements that are part of the mobilization for the construction of related projects.

The presence of Halifax Shipyard (Irving), Emera, Imperial Oil and ExxonMobil as major users of the Port of Halifax also brings opportunity to expand business on a wide array of services linked to the energy industry. We have also been working closely with EnCana on the marketing of the base and have participated with the Offshore/Onshore Technologies Association of Nova Scotia in trade missions directed at the global industry.
