National Gypsum Wharf
The National Gypsum Wharf, located in the Bedford Basin, is owned and operated by National Gypsum (Canada) Ltd. Since opening at the Port in 1954, this facility has provided a rail to ship interface for raw gypsum exports from National Gypsum's open pit mine, located in Milford Station, just outside Halifax. Raw gypsum is delivered to the port facility in specialized rail cars from this mine where it is loaded by conveyor into ships' holds.
