Marquee Speakers Headline Halifax Port Days 2002

Halifax, NS - Halifax Port Days 2002 is set for September 8th and 9th and will feature an expanded offering of activities and business sessions to be highlighted by an international group of outstanding industry speakers. Following this year's theme 'A Leading North American Gateway - Building the Vision for Halifax', guest speakers will contribute their expertise and lend insight into the Port's future direction.

This year's Port Days speakers are:

This year's keynote speaker will be Hon. Robert Thibault, MP West Nova, Minister, Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Minister Thibault will address guests at the Port Days Luncheon on Monday, September 9th at 12:30 p.m.

The speakers' discussions will take place during three unique sessions: the Plenary Session, an examination of the issues and opportunities affecting the transportation industry; the Security Update, an in-depth look at security initiatives from local and North American perspectives; and the Cruise Workshop, a look at Atlantic Canada's cruise industry and how to best maximize our cruise potential.
