Halifax Port Authority Receives Two Awards For Communications Efforts

Halifax, NS - The Halifax Port Authority (HPA) has earned two awards in the annual American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) communications competition. HPA received Awards of Excellence for its 2002 Cruise Halifax brochure and for its Port of Halifax Directory.

The competition received 160 entries from 42 ports in total. Thirty-four communications professionals judged the entries at AAPA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia.

"We are always appreciative of these awards. They acknowledge that the quality of work we do in Halifax is world class," said Patricia McDermott, vice president, marketing, Halifax Port Authority. "These pieces are great tools for us to promote the Port of Halifax to cargo and cruise interests world-wide."

The AAPA represents over 150 public port authorities in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.
