Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Canada Visited Halifax

November 26, 2009, Halifax, NS - His Excellency Rafet Akgunay, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Canada recently visited Halifax. While in Halifax he met with municipal and provincial decision makers, business and community leaders, and participated in a Port Tour. In 2008, Turkey was the Port of Halifax’s 7th largest export trading partner. Primary exports to Turkey include newsprint, vegetables and woodpulp.
