K Line Makes its Inagural Call to Halifax

Halifax, NS - May 3, 2009 - The Port of Halifax was pleased to welcome the K Line container vessel "Venice Bridge" to the Halterm Container Terminal Limited facility on Sunday, May 3, 2009 for its inaugural call. The ship's Captain, Byeong Su Seong was presented with inaugural gifts from members of the port community including the Halifax Port Authority, Halterm and tug provider Atlantic Towing Limited. The new round-the-world service of the Cosco/K Line/Yang Ming and Hanjin alliance will call Halifax inbound from the far east including China on a fixed weekly schedule every Sunday offering a speedy outbound connection for exporters to Singapore, its next port of call.
