Making a Great Port Better
Standing still is not an option
Karen Oldfield
President and CEO
In Halifax, we never lose sight of the fact that our Port is a critical connection to the world. The Port of Halifax is a Gateway for our regional exporters to reach international markets. We connect North American assembly lines, retailers and consumers with products from around the world. Halifax has also become an entry point for over 2 million passengers.
The volume of ships, cargo and passengers calling any port is tied to trade and tourism world-wide. Atlantic Canada is small, and the world is not beating a path to our door. So capitalizing on our connectivity is a must. In the not-too-distant future, this region will reflect the places in the world where we do business.
Making a great port better. Stretching beyond our boundaries. Optimizing our resources. Investing in partnerships, people, and infrastructure. This is the Port of Halifax.
