Chair
Mark MacDonald was appointed to the Halifax Port Authority's Board of Directors in October 2005. He was elected by the Board as its Chair in August 2007.
Mr. MacDonald has been President & CEO of Bay Ferries Limited, Northumberland Ferries Limited and associated companies since 2003.
Mark studied engineering and law at Dalhousie University. Prior to his present position, he practiced law at Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales, where his practice concentrated on shipping and transportation, energy and construction. He was involved in a number of east coast projects including Cohasset, Sable Offshore Energy, Confederation Bridge, Hibernia and Nova Scotia's Cobequid Pass.
Mr. MacDonald was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1998 and was a member of the firm's partnership board. Mark's community involvement included serving as Chair of the Board of the Sacred Heart School of Halifax between 2000 and 2003.

Geoff Machum was appointed a director of the Halifax Port Authority in October 2006 for a term of three years. He was elected by the Board as Vice-Chair effective March 1, 2008. He currently sits on the Governance, Seaport, Human Resources & Compensation and Gateway Strategy Committees.
Geoff is a partner with the law firm Stewart McKelvey, where he serves on the firm's regional Partnership Board and is also Chair of its regional Marketing Committee. His law practice is diverse with particular emphasis on the fields of construction, insurance, product liability and commercial litigation, including directors and officers liability issues. He was awarded the prestigious Queen's Counsel designation in 2003, recognizing his professional integrity and outstanding contributions to the law profession.
Geoff is married to Kim (Sanford) and he has two boys, Andrew and Matthew. He maintains an active involvement in the Halifax Community.

L. Anne Galbraith
L. Anne Galbraith was appointed to the Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors effective April 4, 2008 for a three-year term. She currently serves on the Audit Committee.
Anne Galbraith earned a bachelor of commerce degree in accounting from Mount Allison University. She became a chartered accountant in 1990 and obtained her certified financial planner designation in 2000. She has worked as an accountant and auditor with a number of well-known firms, and is currently employed by Collins Barrow Nauss Hornby LLP.
Anne is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia and the Financial Planners Standards Council. She has served her community in various capacities with the Shannon Park School Advisory Council and the Canadian Diabetes Association. Anne has been actively involved in the management of recreational sport teams in the Dartmouth community.

Trevor V. Johnson was appointed in August 2007 by the Province of Nova Scotia to the position of director for a term of three years. Trevor currently serves on the Governance Committee and chairs the Human Resources & Compensation Committee.
Trevor is a graduate of Saint Mary's University and Dalhousie Law School. He previously worked as in-house legal counsel for Marine Atlantic Inc. His law practice, Maritime Law Company Inc., emphasizes admiralty, corporate/commercial, civil litigation and regulatory law for select national and international marine interests. His ongoing community involvement has included positions with the Nova Scotia Association of Police Boards, the HRM Board of Police Commissioners, and the Children’s Safety Village. Trevor is also a member of the Canadian Ferry Operators’ Association.

Linda Moreash
Linda Moreash was appointed to the Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors on March 1, 2006. She currently chairs the Security, Environment & Safety Committee, and sits on the Human Resources & Compensation Committee.
Ms. Moreash was previously a member of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission from 1995-1998, and served as its secretary from 1999 to 2005. She was a member of various committees with HDBC, including Executive, Public Relations, Maintenance and Finance.
Linda Moreash began her career as a teacher, and held teaching positions in several schools in HRM, including Halifax School for the Blind/Sir Frederick Fraser School. She has extensive volunteer experience within the community.
Ms. Moreash is a graduate of Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
David L. Henderson

David Henderson was appointed to the Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors for a term of three years on October 15, 2007. He currently chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Seaport Committee and the Security, Environment & Safety Committee.
Mr. Henderson is a highly successful sales professional with over 36 years of experience. He has held positions of responsibility as a sales representative and account manager for the Atlantic region for two leading international manufacturing companies. He is currently the Atlantic Territory Account Manager for Samsung Electronics Canada Inc.
Mr. Henderson has applied his organizational and motivational skills to community and industry organizations as well.
Thomas J. McInnis

Thomas J. McInnis
Tom McInnis was appointed to the Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors on March 1, 2008 for a term of three years. He currently sits on the Audit Committee and chairs the Gateway Strategy Committee.
A graduate of Saint Mary’s University and lawyer by profession, Mr. McInnis served as an elected Member of the Legislative Assembly of Nova Scotia from 1978 to 1993, during which time he held a number of Cabinet portfolios including Transportation, Municipal Affairs, Education, Community Services, Economic Development, Labour, Attorney General and Deputy Premier. Both prior and subsequent to his political career, he has practiced law, most recently with the firm Weldon McInnis.
Tom McInnis is currently a member of the Greater Halifax Partnership, and President of the Sheet Harbour & Area Chamber of Commerce. His community service includes the Advisory Committee for the proposed new Sheet Harbour Nursing Home, the Economic Development Committee and numerous other committees within the Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Wildlife Association, and was a founding member of the Block Parent Program. He is an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Lions International.
